Dr. Kornélia Wayda studied law in Europe and in the US and has been practicing as an intellectual property attorney since 2006.
She holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree, a Masters degree in Pharmacy and a Doctorate of Philosophy degree in Clinical Medical Science. She is a licensed attorney in California, a US registered patent attorney, a solicitor in England and Wales and a lawyer in Hungary. She is also a Certified Patent Valuation Analyst.
Prior moving to Switzerland, Dr. Wayda worked for intellectual property law firms as Intellectual Property Attorney in California, USA. In Switzerland, she worked as a Patent Attorney for Nestlé in Vevey and as a Senior Patent Attorney for Bristol-Myers Squibb in Steinhausen.
Dr. Wayda’s technical background and experience is in the fields of pharmacy, law, biotechnology, chemistry, and genetics as well as in the food industry. Her main practice focuses on international , US- and European intellectual property and business law, including but not limited to management of global patent portfolios, advising and counseling on patentability of inventions, on infringement and validity of patents, on patent strategy and conflicts, as well as preparing and prosecuting US and European patent, trademark, design, copyright and domain name applications.
She is also versed in preparing legal agreements in the IP-field, including but not limited to secrecy agreements, cooperation and license agreements.
